What a week in London.
On July 8, TittmannWeix was pleased to join the Lloyd's Market Association, IBM, and other industry leaders at Lloyd's of London for the London Quantum Cyber Risk Conference.
Building on the discussions from our New York event, the conference brought together more than 120 attendees from across the cyber insurance, legal, regulatory, and technology communities to examine the implications of quantum computing for cyber risk management. A full audience and waitlist reflected the growing attention this topic is receiving across the market.
Our Managing Partner, Louisa Weix, moderated a regulatory panel featuring Thomas B., Cavan Fabris, and David Méheut. The discussion explored whether quantum risk should be viewed as an immediate or longer-term challenge, how organizations should balance security and governance considerations, emerging standards of care, and the evolving regulatory landscape.
One theme was consistent throughout the day: organizations should begin preparing now. While there is no single "Q-Day" deadline driving action, the risks associated with cryptographic transition, governance, and long-term planning are already shaping conversations among boards, insurers, regulators, and technology leaders.
Thank you to Lloyd's Market Association (LMA), IBM, our speakers, panelists, sponsors, and attendees for contributing to a thoughtful and engaging program. A special thank you to Chris Mather and Arabella Ramage at Lloyd's Market Association (LMA), whose partnership, coordination, and support were instrumental in bringing this event together in both London and at Lloyd's. We truly appreciated working with you throughout the planning process. We also enjoyed the opportunity to spend time in London, including visits to IBM's offices and the historic Lloyd's building.
Representing TittmannWeix were Louisa Weix, Raymond Tittmann, Judy Selby, Kelly S. Johnson, and Anna Tripier.
At TittmannWeix, our focus remains on helping organizations understand emerging quantum-related risks and prepare for them proactively. Based on the level of engagement and discussion this year, we look forward to continuing the conversation in the years ahead.
